Meet Our Pastor - Dr. Jimmy E. Nelson
Dr. Jimmy Nelson has been in the Lord's service for the past thirty-one years. He and his family served as missionaries in Mexico from 1979 to 1990. While on furlough the Lord called him to pastor Green Acres Baptist Church in Stephenville, Texas. After three years, the Lord lead him to go back into mission work. He started deputation in 1993. In December of 1996, he became the Director of Landmark Mission Projects and the Dean of Landmark Baptist Theology Seminary. During this time, he was an international missionary traveling to different countries to setup video Bible Seminaries to help missionaries and national pastors train national workers for the ministry.
Dr. Nelson was a missionary until June 1, 2008 at which time he became the pastor of Landmark Baptist Church. He is still the director of Landmark Mission Projects and president of The Landmark Baptist Theology Seminary.
